Sex for me, is something precious. It is not something to be thrown around, given to anyone and it is not to be used as a tool to get things out of people. Sex is a beautiful thing - I think it should be saved for the special ones. The ones that love you too. Sex for me, is the ultimate expression of love. 

As someone who works with young girls and boys, teenagers (some of whom are having sex as young as under 13) I feel the entire world is saying “SEX MEANS NOTHING. SEX IS JUST FUCKING SOMEONE FOR FUN. LETS ALL HAVE LOTS OF SEX. SO MUCH SEX. WITH ANYONE. IT DOESN’T MATTER AS LONG AS YOU FEEL SATISFIED.” and these girls and boys, who are SO impressionable are listening to the world and thinking that too. 

Trouble is, it doesn’t matter how old you are - just having sex with anyone can hurt. It can cause deep, emotional pain that these young girls and boys don’t quite understand.  (If you’ve ever woken up feeling worthless, guilty, shitty, achy and in a strangers bed, you’ll know what I mean.) They don’t understand because the world is screaming “HAVE SEX WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE. SERIOUSLY.” I have had 14 year olds tell me that they don’t feel good enough unless boys want to fuck them. When I was their age I didn’t feel good enough because the boy I liked didn’t want to kiss me. Sex never crossed my mind.

From my experience, sex does mean something to most people. Having loads of meaningless sex has seriously fucked a few of my friends up. Made them feel worthless, because the girl or guy they slept with last week didn’t call them, because really, deep down, they wanted more than that, because they felt if they had sex with them this person might want more too. 

I would like everyone to feel sexually liberated. To have sex the way that feels best for them. To respect each other. To respect themselves. To look after themselves both physically and emotionally. To not feel worthless. 

(And if they are going to sleep with as many people as possible in a week - don’t tell their 12 year old brother about it. Girls coming and getting pregnancy tested at 13 is not cool - it coming out positive is even worse. )

PS: Saying all of this, I would have totally sleep with Jensen Ackles or Jared Padalecki in a heart beat - I realise that this makes my blog totally void but whateverr.
