I do not get why people are always describing her as a plus-size icon.I’m not saying it’s bad to be plus-size, I am just saying she was clearly a thin woman and so I don’t understand the whole idea. To me she looks about a 12. What people don’t always know is that what was a size 14 fifty years ago is not what it is now. Just as a size 7 vintage pair of shoes fit my size 5 feet perfectly. And that American sizing is different to UK sizing, and the same goes for Europe and the rest of the world. So yes, Monroe probably was a size 14, but a long time ago. Things change with time.
